I got Michelin Tires on my bike!

On my cars, I have always gotten Bridgestone tires. But for my bike, I got a set of Michelin tires.

Best part, the side walls are blue, to match the accents on the rest of the bike.

And just for fun, even my Giro Pro Light helmet matches!

But I still rather have Bridgestone tires!

This year I got myself the InsideRide’s E-Motion Rollers so I can do some indoor cycling. All I can say, it kicked my ass!

I was smart enough to do some research beforehand. I put myself in a doorframe since this is my first time on rollers and went for it. Luckily I did, otherwise I would’ve fell a couple of times.

I’ll eventually do a review of my new toy, but let me use it a few more times. It’s hard to review it since this was my 1st time on rollers and I was too busy trying not to fall.

And yes, that is my Trek Madone 4.5!

Picts From The DC/VA/MD Bike Trip!

Ok. I finally got around to finish going through all the pictures from the GoPro.

I still think the best part of this trip was biking next to some of the memorials.

Damn! I Really Did Need New Brake Pads!

Holy crap! I knew I needed new brake pads earlier this year, but I didn’t think it was this bad!

I’ve been putting off getting new brake pads for my Trek 7.1 FX, mostly because they still kinda worked and I’m lazy.

I went over to Bicycle Habitat as always and asked for new brake pads. They just gave me the Kool Stop MTB Brake Pads.

I got home and went to work on the bike. I can’t believe the pads are so worn out!

Well these pads seem to be a lot better so far. I only tested them with the bike on the bike stand, so I’ll have to wait to really test them out on city streets…

Ride Routes in DC/VA

Ok. So I’m slowly getting around to going through all the data from September and October rides. Here’s the routes we took while we were in Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia.

Day 1 – Bethesda, MD to Georgetown, to Washington & Old Dominion Trail, to Vernon Trail, to Alexandria, VA

Day 2 – Alexandria, to Georgetown, to Washington DC, to Vernon Trail, to Alexandria, VA

On Day 2, we were going to bike in DC up the Potomc River, but the Dr Martin Luther King Jr Tribute was that way, and so the path was closed. We got a bit lost trying to get back into Virginia, but we made it.

I’m still going through the photos. I’ll hopefully get those done soon…
